When it comes to addressing the challenges faced by today’s youth, mental health is among the most urgent. The number of teenagers who develop some sort of mental disorder has alarmingly increased in the last years.
The most common mental disorders among teens today are anxiety, depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and substance abuse, all of which can culminate in life threatening circumstances – like suicide – if left untreated.
The best way to deal with this pressing issue is to teach young kids to identify and cope with their emotions. Promoting mental health is the best way to prevent our youth from developing mental disorders that can ruin their future.
